Although the UTILI-POLE has
gone through some changes since its conception in |
| 1995, we have maintained the
basic design. There are two different types of mounting brackets
available for the UTILI-POLE. The
deck rail mounting bracket is designed to mount on a 2x4 or 2x6 rail
of a deck. The other mounting bracket mounts on a wall or a post.
Both brackets fasten in place with a 5/16 thumb screw. |

The pole unit sits on
the mounting bracket pin, allowing the pole to extend out from |
| the deck. For ease of servicing,
the pole swivels 360 degrees in either direction, as well as a telescoping
feature, allowing the pole to be extended from approximately 34 to
60 inches. When fully contracted, it supports 35 lbs. and when fully
extended 15 lbs. |

A
sturdy plastic knob with a 5/16 stud is used to fasten the pole assembly
to the |
| mounting bracket. When tightened, this
stud will not allow the pole to swivel after desired positioning.
The telescoping feature of the pole uses two high density plastic
bushings which allows the inner shaft to slide in and out without
damaging the painted surface. The complete pole assembly and mounting
bracket are powder coated for a long lasting rust free finish. Available
only in black. |
